Australia’s new housing approvals have fallen in January as threats of a rate hike put the country even further behind its housing accord target.
Dwelling approvals slumped 7 per cent in January to 14,564, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, defying expectations of a 5 per cent bump in new dwellings.
