Unforgettable Crown evening for Perth theatre buffs

The first Australian production of Anastasia The Musical is touring nationally and opened at Crown Theatre Perth on Thursday night to an excited crowd ready to journey into the past.
The musical is inspired by the 1997 Oscar-nominated animated movie Anastasia, which is based on the rumour, legend and mystery of Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov’s supposed escape during the beginning of the Russian Revolution.
Georgina Hopson expertly played the part of Anastasia with her beautiful vocals and infectious smile right down to the more darker and tender moments of tragedy.
In the role of Little Anastasia the Perth season features local actresses Ruby Cowin, Isla Graham, Olive Murray and Lacey McCormack.
