Two centuries in two knocks for red-hot Blue Patterson
By Jasper Bruce
Kurtis Patterson’s second century from as many innings has powered NSW to a seven-wicket One-Day Cup win over South Australia at Cricket Central.
In his first knock since last week’s first-class career-best innings (173no), red-hot Patterson smacked an unbeaten 104 off 110 balls as the hosts chased down South Australia’s 7-242 with six overs remaining on Tuesday.
Patterson had come to the crease after NSW lost opener Sam Konstas (17 runs off 30 balls), forging a match-defining 113-run stand with No.4 Matthew Gilkes that had NSW on track.
