Tragic end in search for teenager swept off rocks at NSW beach

A body has been found in the search for missing teenager Luca Bennett.
The 15-year-old was playing with two other friends on rocks at North Avoca Beach when they were hit by a wave and swept into the water just before 3pm on Tuesday.
His friends managed to make it back to shore and alert lifeguards. A multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched, scouring the coastline for the missing teenager.
On Thursday morning, it was scaled back to a recovery operation. About midday on Friday, police said a body had been located in the water. The body is believed to be Luca’s.
