WA heatwave warning issued as Perth faces scorching week

Perth is set to continue to turn up the heat this week, with forecasters warning a severe heatwave will hit residents across WA from Wednesday.
The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a run of hot, dry days across Perth and the South West, with the mercury climbing into the mid-30s and staying elevated until the end of the week.
