RAC Arena first to be awarded top ‘Green Venue’ status in WA

RAC Arena is the first venue in WA to be certified as a “Green Venue”, recognised for making positive sustainability changes such as introducing reusable stack cups at bar outlets.
Since 2026 began, new data shows RAC Arena is diverting more than 98 per cent of waste from landfill (in volume), going above and beyond a 70 per cent goal.
This has been achieved by enforcing compostable packaging, installing green bins for organic waste and in 2019, implementing stack cups at bars — reusable cups which stack for easier handling.
RAC Arena’s sustainability approach has also seen the introduction of Containers for Change in 2021.
