Police investigate as after-dark drama unfolds at Carlton’s HQ

Vandals have gone on the rampage after an insipid Carlton copped a 50-point drubbing from Port Adelaide on Thursday night.

After a week of intense scrutiny following the shock 11-point defeat to lowly North Melbourne, fans were hoping to see a response when the Blues took on the Power at Adelaide Oval.

But sadly for the Carlton faithful, their team was smashed from the outset, and emotions spilled over back in Victoria at Carlton’s homebase in Princes Park.

Under the cover of darkness at Ikon Park (on Royal Parade in Melbourne’s inner north), a disgruntled fan or fans attacked the outer walls, spraying them with graffiti.
