A 24-hour petrol station and carwash is set to be constructed on a vacant block of land in the Butler Central shopping centre carpark.
The $2.1 million development, which is currently before the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel, includes 10 fuel bowsers, a convenience store and three car wash bays.
The facility on a 4125sqm lot off Clayton Street would be accessible via Butler Boulevard and also include six vacuum stations and two dog wash bays.
The City of Wanneroo has recommended the proposal be approved, but flagged potential access issues for fueling trucks and said the development should proceed only on the condition that formal access arrangements are entered into.
