Outraged viewers tuning into the Oscars argue Adrien Brody could’ve used his excessive five-minute acceptance speech to apologise to his girlfriend after throwing gum at her before stepping on stage.
The American star took home his second best actor Oscar which he won for the The Brutalist, beating nominees Timothee Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Sebastian Stan and Ralph Fiennes.
However, as the New Yorker was walking up the steps to the stage, he turned around, took his gum from his mouth and threw it to his girlfriend Georgina Chapman, shocking viewers at home.
