‘No friends’: Star’s warning for returning rival

Once an “awesome servant” to Queensland rugby union, Wallabies lock Angus Blyth returns to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday night as an enemy when the Reds host the NSW Waratahs in an interstate grudge match.

After nine years with the Reds, Blyth defected to the Waratahs at the end of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.

And almost fittingly, the 28-year-old’s first competitive start for NSW after three matches coming off the bench for his new club will be against his former Queensland teammates.
