New wave of Matilda mania hits Perth after World Cup absence

Two-and-a-half years ago, Perth missed out on each and every one of the Matildas’ Women’s World Cup games as the national soccer team captivated the nation en route to the semifinals of the tournament on home soil.
Fast forward to the present day and Matildas mania is once again threatening to sweep the nation — only this time, Perth is the jewel in the crown.
