Israel’s new ambassador to Australia has welcomed the Albanese government’s “harsh stand” on anti-Semitism following the passage of new hate speech laws.
Dr Hillel Newman took over as Israel’s representative to Australia on February 25, less than three months after the Bondi Beach terror attack which was followed by the passing of sweeping new hate speech and firearms reforms.
