Mum publishes first book to helps kids understand dementia
A Baldivis mum who struggled to help her five-year-old daughter understand her great-grandmother’s battle with dementia has published a children’s book to support families like hers.
Courtney Deaton’s new book, Through Billie’s Eyes, was inspired by her daughter Billie’s bond with her great-grandmother and the difficulty Deaton found in explaining the disease.
