Lukewarm approval for Freo cappuccino strip tavern

The “eye-sore” former Hungry Jack’s site in Fremantle will be converted into a three-storey tavern, which could transform a “dead part” of city’s famous cappuccino strip.
The City of Fremantle approved modified plans for the development at a March 11 meeting, despite the design concerns.
The updated plans were put on hold when presented to a council meeting last year, and city officers this month recommended they be rejected.
