Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef dropped by Oscars host

The Oscars audience is no stranger to hearing crude jokes or references to trending pop culture moments and this year was no exception.
American TV host and comedian Conan O’Brien was this year’s host and while he managed to fit a slew of jokes in his opening monologue, it was his halfway jab that caused a big reaction from the crowd.
Following an advert break, O’Brien announced the proceedings were halfway through and he couldn’t help but reference the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef that dominated headlines in the past year.
