Fuel price relief for city motorists, regions hit with hikes
By Chloe Maher
Fuel prices across Perth are set to hold steady or even dip slightly on “cheap Tuesday”, offering modest relief for city motorists.
But there’s no such luck in the regions where prices are on the rise again.
Despite the brief reprieve from escalating prices, motorists will still be set for hip-pocket pain at the bowser with prices remaining well above $2 a litre as the Middle East conflict continues to threaten global fuel supplies and drive up local prices.
According to data released by Fuel Watch, the average price per litre of unleaded on Tuesday across the metro area will be $2.45, down from Monday’s average of $2.56.
