Former Eagle ‘goes to war’ on road rule that cost him $550

A former West Coast Eagle has copped a hefty fine while driving down south for an obscure seatbelt rule broken by his seven-year-old son.

Xavier Ellis revealed he received the infringement in the mail after a trip down south where his son, Ted, momentarily moved the shoulder strap of his seatbelt under his arm.

Ellis expressed his shock over the severity of the penalty through sharing the incident online, where the post “went gangbusters” among Perth parents who have faced a similar consequence.
