Spain will follow Australia in seeking to ban teens under the age of 16 from social media, as European leaders draw condemnation from tech billionaire Elon Musk.
Announcing the measure, Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said platforms would be required to implement “effective” age verification systems, similar to the Albanese government’s ban which came into effect on December 10.
