Dolly Parton wants to be “shiny, sparkly and seen”. The 78-year-old country star has always dressed to please herself and tells her styling team to reflect her personality with “flamboyant” pieces that are “extra” shiny.
She recently told Grazia magazine: “It’s so funny that people think I have the ‘perfect’ image.
“I never cared what anybody thought about it. I have nice things now but, back in the day, before I had anybody that had any style or taste, I just dressed the way I wanted to.
“I still tell the people that work with me now, my outfits need to be over-exaggerated, extra shiny, kind of flashy, flamboyant, because that’s my personality.
