Aussie mum’s unborn daughter may face leg amputation

An Aussie influencer and entrepreneur’s unborn daughter has developed a shocking deformity in her right leg that may need to be amputated once she’s born, depending on the severity of the condition.

Racquel Ferraro, founder of baby and children’s clothing brand Cinnamon Baby, shared the heartbreaking update to her more than 6000 Instagram followers, saying her pregnancy with her third child had been “perfect” until her 20-week scan.

The 31-year-old said her unborn daughter’s right femur was delayed in development by four weeks, but her sonographer reassured the mother it was “going to be okay”.

However, her doctor suggested she consider terminating her pregnancy because her baby’s condition, known as an “isolated leg length discrepancy”, was “extremely severe”.
